Arrival in the Roero area, located on the left bank of the Tanaro River, renowned for its rich biodiversity and for its unique geological formations known as the \"Rocche\", shaped over centuries by the erosive action of water and wind.\u00a0
Meet the \"trifolao\" and his loyal \"tabu\"\u00a0 \u2014 in Piedmontese dialect, the truffle hunter and his four-legged companion. Thanks to their deep knowledge of the territory, they will introduce you to local traditions, a passion for nature, and the excitement of uncovering the precious truffle.
During a medium-difficulty trekking experience through woods and hazelnut groves, you will follow the dog\u2019s instinct in search of summer black truffle, winter black truffle, white truffle, or \"bianchetto\" truffle, depending on the season.\u00a0
Upon your return, enjoy a rich aperitif featuring artisanal truffle products, handmade salami, local cheeses, a traditional appetizer, honey selections, and a glass of Langhe Nebbiolo DOC wine.\u00a0
In the afternoon, free visit to the charming villages of Guarene \u2014 including the Guarene Green Tour with a focus on the Slow Food Presidium \u201cPera Madernassa\u201d \u2014 Castellinaldo, and the iconic Castagna Granda, with a local tasting snack featuring regional products.
Check-in at Albergo Casa Americani and accommodation in a standard double room with breakfast included.
Dinner at Ristorante Marcelin featuring the \u201cGli Immancabili\u201d menu (including one course with black truffle) paired with three glasses of wine selected by the Sommelier.
Overnight stay.
The following day, after breakfast and check-out, you will head to Monteu Roero to meet a local shepherd who will guide you through his small underground \"crutin\", where aged cheeses mature.
These products are crafted with special attention to semi-free-range farming and sustainable dairy production, fully respecting both raw materials and the environment, and are recognized with the Slow Food Presidium \u201cPascoli Stabili\u201d.<\/p>\n
